The abundant resources of the Assi River are being misused and wasted, leading to a desertification of the adjacent land. The aim of the project is to conduct an advocacy
campaign to finalize the topographical work and to identify the Lebanese quota of the water resources of the Assi River, to mobilize the community towards the creation of new employment opportunities and to foster the economic and agricultural development of the region. There will be several awareness workshops about the use of water, agriculture, and land in the different villages. The information collected on the land and the water will be publicized through billboards. agricultural guidance centers will also be advocated.
